Card Combinations in Video Poker

Royal Flush

Royal Flush is the straight of five cards of one suit with the cards with the highest rank: ten, jack, queen, king and ace. This hand is the best possible hand that provides has the highest payouts.

Straight Flush

This hand is the straight of five cards of one definite suit though the highest card is any card not like in royal flush. For example, the hand which has 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of clubs is Straight flush.

Four of a Kind

This is video poker hand consisting of four card of one value but one of another, for example, four queens and ten.

Full House

Full House hand contains three cards of the same value and two of another rank, for instance two kings and three eights.

Flush

This hand consists of any five cards of the same suit (clubs, diamonds, spades, hearts) no matter what the rank of these cards is.

Straight

Straight hand is the hand comprising five cards in sequence without regard to the suit, like 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.

Three of a kind

This video poker hand contains three cards of one rank like the hand of three eights and two other cards with any suit and value.

Two pair

Two pair contains two cards of one rank and two cards of the same rank. For example, the hand of two sevens and two aces is Two pair.

One pair

One pair video poker hand comprises two cards of the same value and three other unmatched cards, for instance two fours and three different cards.

High card

High card is the combination of different cards that doesn’t form any of the mentioned hands. This hand is applied only in regular poker since only if two or more players have these hands the winner is that player whose hand comprises the highest card. In the game of video poker any player plays against computer, so it is impossible to compare several hands of the players and indicate the winner.
